I will dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
